I cry everytime when i hear this: "You don't have to wait anymore... He's not coming back." :'(

Hachi is still sitting at Shibuya station, Tokyo, Japan. He is still waiting for his friend, as a statue. I walked by him every day because I was working there. And Japanese call him Hachi Koh, which means sir Hachi. It is a famous story there.
I just think that he is a symbol of typical Japanese spirit, a symbol of unconditional loyalty. That could be good, and could be bad else well.

I promise you I am not exaggerating when I tell you I cried during the whole second half of the movie. The tears would not stop coming out of my eyes

Now people understand why John Wick did what he did.

An absolutely incredible movie. I too am blessed with a dog very similar to that of Hachi. People do not understand, nor even appreciate the bond between a dog and its handler. When I got my Kobe, I was not the best of people. I have experienced a tremendous amount of tragedy Within my life. These tragedies have a tendency to make you very numb inside. Or at least the drugs you become addicted to, to avoid that pain. I can relate 100% to the story. My boy Kobe has been on my side for over seven years. He not only got me clean and sober. He made me into a good person. He taught me how to love again. He was like an angel sent from the heavens above. From the ones that I have lost and loved dearly. I, from all the bad experiences in my life, I got severe PTSD. So I trained him and had him federally registered as my service animal. In the area I live within in Florida. I live outside of Tampa, in and around the New Port Richey/Holiday area. He is literally a legend within the area I live. Because he goes everywhere with me. I have PTSD, he has separation anxiety. I recall a day I had to work. I had to leave him with my sister. Needless to say, he dug out from under the fence and went looking for me. Upon returning close to my home, one of my old friends said they seen Kobe running around. I went at a dead run to get to him. Dogs are absolutely magical. He is my family. I would never ever let him go for anything. He is my Hachi. To see the part that Richard Gere played, I could so easily relate too. I am very very very fortunate and blessed to have such a good friend and companion. I have had girlfriends in the past, for some reason would compete with Kobe. I don’t mean this in any type of bad way. But I can always get a new girlfriend. I could never replace Kobe. I actually had a girlfriend give me an ultimatum. Her or him. She’s in North Carolina, he is sound asleep and snoring on the kitchen floor as I type this. A dog is not only your friend, he is your guardian And everything in between. Every Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve. Or any holiday when there are booms and bangs. He comes running right between my legs. So they look to us for safety as well as we look through them for safety. This movie was a tearjerker. By far one of the greatest movies I have ever seen!

This is based on the true story from Japan about 90 years ago. The loyal dog Hachi had been waiting for his master at the station where his master, a professor commuted, even after he suddenly died. Hchi didn't stop waiting for him. People in town commended Hachi as the loyal dog.
Now you can see the statue made by people of Hachi in Tokyo.

Omg I cant watch this without bawling my eyes out. I’ve seen this so many times and every time I cry uncontrollably. I try to tell myself that it’s just a movie... but it’s not, it’s based on a true story which makes me cry even more. I love this movie and Hachi.
