The book Atomic Habits is a good book to read on the subject of habits/routins! Habits are automatically triggered by cues, whereas routines require a conscious effort on your part. You can use some tricks to make it slightly easier to go from cue to routine and build a lasting habit. One way is to stack little things together consistently like after I brush my teeth, I clear off the counter, then pick up my dirty clothes and put them in a basket. etc. Practice being consistent, then add more things you do regularly each day. You are so awesome and inspiring. I found your channel about a month ago and I’m on a decluttering journey after being a shop-a-holic and totally filled our house up over the last 13 years 😩. I’ve had the donation truck come 10 times over the last 6 month and things are way more comfortable for us. I was inspired by watching a lot of minimalism videos but I relate the most with your content. I want us to be BFFs 😂. Thank you for what you do! ❤

Very true! Little bites make a difference over time. For years I’ve attached tasks or habits I want to build to an already existing action, like setting out my vitamins while the coffee brews. I need visual cues, or I get lost in the whirlwind of the day.
