I dunno how y'all will feel hearing this but as 12 year older sister, I'm watching this and researching about it for my 3 year old brother. 😂

Excellent tips! Thank you 💜 I'm here for a refresher with baby #2. Baby #1 was an early and very advanced talker. Biggest thing was me and my husband talking to him nonstop all day long since he was a baby 👍

The Naming technique is a great way to foster language acquisition. It really helps with association. Also great if wanting to teach a second language.
Our family is bilingual English/German so we use the naming technique in both languages.

I've started to use baby signing with my daughter since she's going to be bilingual (German / Japanese) to help her connect the words in different languages with their meaning. (I believe that it's gonna help.)
Definitely I'll further shorten my sentences as advised. Thank you! 🤗

I have been a trained ESL educator for 15 years. I work to teach English to adults who speak other languages.
Many of these techniques are used in my field of work. We always start with nouns and verbs. It is also more effective to start with speech as opposed to writing.

I just want to say thank you for your videos. My children are grown and I have a granddaughter and now an infant grandson, and I have been watching your videos to try and help me understand and learn. My kids were early talkers and maintained a high vocabulary, but my granddaughter was a late talker. She is 4 years old and really only started really talking about a year or year and a half ago. Now with my grandson, and him living with me, I want to make sure that I am giving him the best I can. Thank you.

Hi Emma! I just want to thank you so much for your videos. I’m a first time mom/ stay at home mom and I’ve been stressing so much about things I need to be doing with my baby girl as she’s growing. I don’t really have anyone to help me or guide me in what to do as everyone I know who has had a baby is 20-30 years older than me. I just want to say that your videos are wonderful and so helpful!

This is so great! Especially with the TV! I live in a large family and the TV is always on and I'm always advocating for it to be off when my son is in the room.

My 9 month old daughter says 8 words, 5 multiple times a day.
The cutest thing is how she calls the dog "good" and chants "boobies" when she wants to nurse.

I'm establishing playtime with my 7months old baby. I went through your playlist (from appropriate toys for his age, do's and don'ts, etc). I observed yesterday that he's able to communicate more during our playtime. Like, yesterday we were playing his rainbow tower toy, and I purposedly hide the toy, he made a sound like he's protesting 😅 and so we continued playing. Your videos greatly help me as a FTM. Thank you! 😊🤗

So glad I found your channel 😊 I am a brand new mom and enjoy learning about her next/new stages and milestones. We talk each other’s ears off and I love the advice to pause to let her gesture to me when the time for that comes 😀

Would love to see more videos of toddlers from 2 to 3 years of age. I’ve had a hard time weaning my 2 year old off the bottle and he refuses to eat or even try food.

Hi Emma, I have a 6 month old baby boy & so worried that he will be delayed to talk because there are three languages spoken at home!. Can you please do a video on bilingual & multilingual babies & what are the best strategies for talking to them? Do they get to be fluent in the three ?
