I'm a transwoman, and ages ago when I came out to my old group of friends one of them (who'd just had surgery to correct a congenital heart defect) trotted out the old "God doesn't make mistakes!" chestnut. I shrugged and said, "He made you with a bad heart and you got that fixed...." He didn't give me any more trouble after that.

Per the landline scammers, one night when I was in my mid teens, we got a scam call, and my little sister answered. The person asked for my mom. My little sister, without batting an eye, says “No, I’m sorry, she’s in the oven.” This poor guy didn’t know who he was dealing with, and he walked right into what happened next (I was standing next to her listening in). He asked her HOW LONG SHE WOULD BE IN THERE, and my little sister kinda gives me a look and replies, “Oh, gee, what is it, like seven minutes a pound?” She was (and still IS) an absolute menace.

34:00 a friends father got blacklisted by jehova witnesses. Whenever they would come to his door to spread the message, he would invite them in for coffee and talk. As he was a former catholic monk, he knew the Bible in and out. So with every verse they would say, he would come up with another that would completely contradict theirs. To the point they started agreeing with him. After a while they didn’t show anymore. He was genuinely disappointed because he really liked those conversations. 😂

Hair touching story: gods above, I HATE when people think it's okay to touch strangers' hair without permission. I have long, reddish-brown hair that I usually keep in a ponytail, and the number of old ladies I have encountered that just grab and fondle it while I'm out shopping or at work is INSANE. On at least one occasion, I did actually smack one lady's hand for it and immediately looked her dead in the eye for as long as possible to make her uncomfortable. Didn't say anything, just glared at her. I'm just trying to get my groceries same as everyone else, lady, I'm not a hands-on exhibit at the museum.

My friend's daughter has no hair. (Not sick now, she had some fairly major medical procedures and her hair just didn't grow back but she's fine). Along with a wig of her cousin's hair that she has for good (she doesn't wear much because it's hot) she has tons of hats, bandanas and caps with fake hair, ponies, braids, curls etc. and she just loves them. One is a baseball with a very long fake ponytail out the back. Her granny's friend kept stroking it and almost cornering her at points. "Where did you get such beautiful hair?" The girl took the baseball cap off (she's now bald) and said "It's actually (cousin's) hair, she gave it to me."

That poor guy. I also had heavy flows. You can't hold the flood back once you're on your cycle. In the middle of a Christmas party, in soaked through jeans with no access to pads or tampons sounds absolutely mortifying. Those ladies were so sweet and kind to help OP out.

As someone with curly red hair, the fact old ladies would come up and touch it is so real. My favorite story told from my childhood is when a lady was touching my hair and asking where it came from to my mom and I screamed 'it grows out of the holes in my head' at her

When my daughter was little, just learning to talk. (Spoke mostly gibberish only we could understand) Telemarketers would call and I knew most weren't allowed to hang up. I would hand the phone to her. SHE LOVED TO TALK. I would say "it's for you " and she would talk for at least an hr. drop the phone somewhere when she got bored and ran away. Lmao I stopped getting those calls.
