19:15 the really scary part is that not only she has just plastered her underage daughters name, face and approximate location all over the internet, she’s also told every creep and predator out there the times she will be out on the streets unsupervised and armed them with enough information to make that little girl think they’re a familiar or safe person. I had my mom try the "you are a tenent from now on" bullshit with me before. Malicious Compliance is a bitch. I had her on the hook for thousands on repairs to the house because if i was a tenant she had to fix them. Also whenever she wanted me to do chores i told her I will get to them when i get to them, as my landlord she doesn't have that sort of granular say on when or even what chores I do. On top of that when rent came due, i just refused to pay and she was required by law to give me 30 day notice before kicking me out. It gave me about 2 months to get out of there 😂

So that 6yo shooting teacher case is even worse. He was known to be violent, the teacher went to the principle to try and have them search the kids bag because kid said he had the gun, and principle did nothing. It's a pretty wild case to be honest.

I went NC with my mother after my brother's funeral, sent a whole explanation and never wrote back.
One of my coworkers decided to question why I wasn't doing anything for mother's day when "she's your family and that's all you can count on" when she'd been told before what all happened.
And now I don't talk to that coworker about anything outside work.

For the record, the mom saying "Yes I am" when being called awful was NOT self-awareness. It was guilt tripping and strawmaning. My mom does it all the time when her behavior is called out. "Because I'm the worst mother ever, right?" She wanted her kid to say "No, you're not." in order to deflect from whatever she was called out for.

My mom beat me when I was 8 for ASKING for a dress, had no idea what the internet or LGBT was. Then she forced me into the closet when I got caught kissing boys at 12. Now she thinks it was the internet that "brainwashed me" and "it was so sudden."

Thank you for the support. I am a Transwoman, my grandmother is 70 but has 1 Brother alive who is gay and been with his partner for nearly 60 years now.

The other died during the aids crisis in America by the hospital refusing to treat him because he was gay. My grandma doesn't understand how her daughter, my mother, is so awful. I have a chance at being happy in spite of everything that has happened to me. I make music and try to work on these emotions everyday.

It's more then difficult but it's why I appreciate the support when it does come. Even if it's a few thousand people enjoying my content as an escape or to feel seen or heard.

Im a mom, grandma, and great grandma, and i never reacted or acted like my mother did with me. So all my kids still talk and see me, unlike i was with my mother, who i had limited contact with to protect my sanity. Be careful being a parent, you dont own your child, your job is to prepare them for life, and help when life gets hard as it will.

The one about porn reminded me of my mom. During the pandemic, she encouraged me to download tinder when i told her i was lonely. Not quite the same, but my mom thought me being lonely meant i needed to lose my virginity to a woman. Love that subtle pandemic doubt, homophobia, and denial of my asexuality. Now I'm out as a trans woman and she mostly leaves me alone, which im fine with because i dont need the misgendering
