Sixty Miles Down - High Tide (Official Video)

High Tide is the title track and new single off of our 2019 EP. The song is about being stuck in an abusive relationship. The denials, the mind games and the loss of happiness and self confidence. I feel that this is one of our strongest songs to date. As a band we have gotten so many comparisons to bands like Alice In Chains and even Corrosion or Conformity over the years but I have to say I really don't hear those influences at all in this song. I don't know what influences I subconsciously tapped into when I wrote this one but what I can say is that to me this one really stands out and it may not be our heaviest song or even our darkest but at the end of the day it's not about trying to sound like something or someone. It's about going with whatever comes out and if it feels good, sounds good and stirs up an emotion then it's worth keeping and sharing. If even just one other person is somehow touched by the song then it's a job well done in my eyes. Thanks to everyone that has supported us since the beginning and all those that have discovered us recently. It's been over a decade since we released a cd and up until August of 2019 over a decade since our last show. I can finally say we're back and stronger than ever. Thanks again! -JOHN-
