Thank you for saving my pocket! The up/down power button does work just make sure your phone is charged (even if it doesn’t show it charging on screen) for 30 mins then use the up/down method. Keep holding that power key until you see the apple logo. It feels like an eternity but keep holding.

Second method is perfect! You have to hold the power button for 30-40 seconds but it works... have a new iPhone 16 and travelled to the middle of nowhere Costa Rica - phone wasn't working all night but this video saved us!
