Mine was in charging all night and then in the morning I found it turned off or looked like it's off. This video helped a lot. Pressed Volume up, released it, Volume down, released it and then pressed power on/off button down until it restarted and I can see Apple Logo.

Same with me, woke up to a dead phone that was sitting on a MagSafe charger. I kept trying to Force the power on with the power button but it would never come up. I didn’t know you had to volume up and then volume down first. This video was very helpful.

Option 2 worked for my husband’s phone. It’s imperative that you press the volume up then volume down and HOLD the power button for 20 seconds PLUS

It should be noted that method 2 can take multiple repeats before it works. For me it was around 10.

I was just about to take the hour drive to the Apple Store when I turned to Youtube and found this video. I did have to move to Step 3 and download Tenorshare Reiboot but it worked! Thank you so much!

Thank you, I changed the lead attached a usb current checker and surprise the battery was flat and now proceeded to charge !! My other iPhone is charging still on the original charging lead no problem, I have no idea... Might be the lead or fussy phone... Thanks again..

I did the method 2 force restart and it worked! Cheers. I wonder what went wrong in the first place. It’s the first time it’s happened. They don’t build them like they used to. I had the iPhone 8 and I don’t recall any bad issues with it. Then I upgraded to 14 pro because I thought it was time for it 😅

This didn’t happen with any of my previous iPhones. Why this model? I’m glad this fixed worked. I was in a panic at 2am thinking I was going to need to go get it repaired or replaced. No one has time for that.
