This video is wholly inaccurate. Pelagius wasn't holding on to some new idea, but rather established orthodoxy. Pelagius was declared orthodox by various church assemblies and even the Pope.

Rather, the controversy arose as Augustine of Hippo returned to Manichaean gnosticism and Platonist philosophy, inventing Original Sin.

I'm curious what your source was for this? This seems in line with much of what I have been learning, but then i hear of Ali Bonnor and Leighton Flowers devoting their lives to prove that Augustine was the evil one, not palagius.
