Pelagius and the Pelagian Controversy. According to Pelagius, the church was wrong about salvation. The Pelagian controversy gripped the church, that was already reeling from Attila the Hun's armies. Pelagius and his ideas were considered such a big contoversy that he was excommunicated and banished. Today we examine Pelagius, his teachings and the Pelagian controversy that was caused.

This video is wholly inaccurate. Pelagius wasn't holding on to some new idea, but rather established orthodoxy. Pelagius was declared orthodox by various church assemblies and even the Pope.

Rather, the controversy arose as Augustine of Hippo returned to Manichaean gnosticism and Platonist philosophy, inventing Original Sin.

I'm curious what your source was for this? This seems in line with much of what I have been learning, but then i hear of Ali Bonnor and Leighton Flowers devoting their lives to prove that Augustine was the evil one, not palagius.
