Guess What Augustinians? You're Pelagian!

ARE YOU UNKNOWINGLY A PELAGIAN?
Recently, Dr Ali Bonner joined Idol Killer to discuss her work on The Myth of Pelagianism. During the course of the interview, Dr Bonner noted how the works of Pelagius had survived, being passed around and attributed to Jerome and even the Canons of the Council of Nicaea.

This means two things:

1. The ACTUAL teachings of Pelagius were revered as orthodox and thus were foundational to doctrinal development. Pelagius was NOT a Pelagian. Pelagianism is comprised of 14 unique charges which Augustine cobbled together to slander him. Of the 14 points, Pelagius only affirmed half of one point.

2. If your theology agrees with these works, meaning Christian orthodoxy, or your beliefs have been influenced by these writings or by the teaching of men who have been so influenced... then you're Pelagian! - in the sense of agreeing with Pelagius, not the 14 points falsely attributed to him by Augustine.

Perhaps it is time to cease using the Pelagian Boogeyman and seriously engage the arguments in light of Scripture. Perhaps it's time Augustinians cease falsely accusing an orthodox follower of Christ and repent.

I am enjoying your channel. The way you talk reminds me of Mike Winger. He has a lot of great videos as well. If you 2 looked more alike I probably would not be able to tell you 2 appart. :)

This is as stupid as saying that Nestorius was an Apollonarian because some of Apollonaris works circulated under Athanasius' name

The council of Nicea was about the person of Christ, not pelagianism. And Jerome rejected pelagianism.

Pelagius the great father of orthodoxy.

First off, Jerome sided with Augustine against Pelagius, the title is clickbait, and the Council of Nicea never said anything remotely Pelagian. This lady is spewing nonsense.
