A President suffered personal tragedies in his life and he understands how it feels losing a loved one, he’ll put the American people ahead of himself.

I've been a harsh critic and will continue to be, but there's not really anything to criticize here. He said pretty much what needed to be said at this moment. I think all the dislikes are from Republicans who are just angry that this speech makes Biden look good. It's not about looking good though. The president can't just let half a million covid deaths pass by without saying anything. And no matter what Biden said in this speech, the right-wingers would predictably react with hatred and vitriol.

Its good to hear a president actually talk about the people who died instead of saying we are rounding the curve and then start talking bout how good the stock market is

We now have a president that can understand the pain of loss, and doesn't want everything to be about HIM.

🇬🇧 When my Mum died a friend told me "don't look at the empty chair, sit in it". She was right it does help with the anguish. It takes a lot of time and we never forget them but we eventually remember them with love and talk about the things they did which give us comfort and made us laugh.
Take Care Everyone. 💞

We should resist sorrow the way the government has been resisting passing a stimulus package.

That is not a speech anyone wants to make, but you did it well and with respect to those left behind. Thank you for acknowledging the losses of your country, acknowledging them as people.
Unlike the previous "administion" who said, after the already staggering loses, "It affects virtually nobody".
In Australia we have lost 909 people to the virus. That is too high. Your country is losing more than that a day. In Victoria, we lost 820 of those 909. We endured a hard lock down of 111 days. At points we were not allowed to go further than 5km (3.11 miles) from our homes.
It will take more than a vaccine to turn the tide and bring America's numbers down.
Thank you for reminding your country this is not a number, like grains of rice in a bag. These are people lost. These are families mourning. These friends you'll never talk to again. They are more than a statistic.
Good luck. You have a long and difficult journey ahead.

When will Joe hold China responsible for Coronavirus? Talk is cheap. We need action.

It's absolutely insane seeing this speech, conisdering Trump insulted a war-widow while underway to her husband's funeral.

From Australia.
The sound of decency is easy upon the the ear and the soul. The ears and souls of individuals, the ears and soul of a nation.

The sorrow will never leave me or my family. We lost the heart of our family. My grandmother Lucy Flores Jan 17th 1939 - Feb 12th 2021.. She did not deserve the suffering that COVID brought. For someone that took care of her elderly parents in their final days, her children and grandchildren, there was no comfort for her. No hand to hold. Now we have to wait a month to lay her to rest. People still deny this is real. This is real! The pain is real. It’s ripped my family’s heart out. Thank you for your compassion president Biden.

The number of people who had vicious reactions instead of compassionate ones is troubling.

The saddest part of this video is that almost half of those rating it felt the need to thumbs down our nation's largest obituary because they don't like the featured politician.
