The only times i felt like a main character was every time I was left home alone for a couple of minutes, terrified that someone would get in. My 14-year-old butt knew I couldn't do shit as that kid did in the movie, even when there was a big gate and walls around my house (don't live in the USA) every noise would trigger my fight or flight response.
Shout out to everyone that has felt or feels something similar, hopefully, such a feeling dies down with time in all of us.
