For Purgatory:
These passages show the likelihood of there being a purgatory. Though it is not yet confirmed whether there is a state of purification for those who die in God's grace, these passages give evidence of there being one. (2 Maccabees 12:44-46, 1 Corinthians 3:13-15, 1 Peter 3:19). These are only some passages though, there are tons more that lead to the evidence of there being a purgatory, which you can research for yourself.

I can't speak about praying to the saints or praying to Mary because I don't understand why either, I'm still young. It is a good thing to remember though that we don't pray to the saints for their blessings (because they can't give any), but that we pray to them so that they can pray for us for God's blessings. (One passage that might help you understand is James 5:16). We ask them because they are righteous in God's eyes (For they are in Heaven). It is still better to pray to God directly and create an intimate relationship with Him instead of praying to the saints.

I hope you have a wonderful day, Amen to you!

You can find the answers to that at the Catholic Answers website. I believe Catholic apologist Trent Horn also addresses this on Ruslan's podcast and Allie Beth Stuckey's podcast. Those are two ways to see basic fundamentals on why Catholics believe some of these things. Frankly though, some of these people in your comments (myself included) are sometimes not the most well versed at answering some of these questions and can raise misconceptions about the Catholic faith. Many (not all) are poorly catechized themselves. The best way to find these answers is to do good research and understand that the Catholic Church has defended these very same charges for 500 years. Start off my listening to basic catholic apologists and people like Scott Hahn if you want to understand better. Thank you for being open to learning about the Catholic faith.
