Jesus answered,  “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

People in heaven are living it up, they dont need prayers. Pray for the LIVING.

So, basically he admits that the Bible doesn't say to pray to Mary or any other saint, provides no example of praying to the dead, nor any express command in either the OT or NT for such prayer.

Jesus intercedes for us praying to for is incredibly sinful and breaks the 1st commandment no other gods before the one true God

so christians pray to a pantheon??....Luke 11:27 " And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

HERE WE HAVE JESUS THE IDEA OF ANY FORM OF MARY

We continue to pray for them after they die? Why? They are either in heaven or hell. No prayer is going to change that.

Sir, you are poorly mistaken, and I hope you see the truth before it's too late to late

Even if you could substantiate the legitimacy of the intercession of the saints and the Theotokos, why would anyone want to engage in it when we can go directly to Christ? As a former Catholic and Orthodox this was one thing that I never understood. What’s the point? Because of Christ we can approach the throne of grace with boldness. Making this a dogmatic issue that one can be anathematized for is crazy.

For those who deny that we shouldn't be praying to Mary and the Saints, I pray thee, are you certain about that?

There indeed is one mediator but there are many intercessors.

Did not Abraham intercede before the Lord to save the righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah?
Did not Moses, Samuel, David and the old testament prophets intercede before the Lord for the Israelites?
St. Stephen the first martyr in the book of Acts interceded to the Lord for his murderers forgiveness.
Paul writes to Timothy to intercede for all people.
Dig deep in the Holy Scriptures and you'll find many examples.

And besides, all those who abide in Christ who have passed away are more alive for they are perfected and the stain of sin is no longer with them as it is with us who remain in this world.

I'm orthodox, and I think this is a very bad explanation.

Ecc 9:5-6, the dead know nothing. Jesus is the only one that can do anything about prayers. What you’re teaching is false. Furthermore, your example shows someone that is alive and is asked to go on someone’s behalf.

Christ Jesus alone is the way the truth the life and the light.
2nd commandment, do not bow down to graven images and statues.
It is necromancy to pray to dead people.
 Isaiah5: 20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil;
that put darkness for light,
and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet,
and sweet for bitter!
All Glory to Almighty God in Christ Jesus name through the Power of His Holy Spirit Amen
