It would be nice if you do a stress test on how ridgid the new xz really is. I have the 4040 pro and it struggles plunging more than .125" doc. I plan on buying xz upgrade when they release the extended version.

Finding the right cordless driver has been an adventure. They either seem too small and do not have enough torque or too big to fit in some of the tight spots.

What add ons do you recommend? Controller? Which 3rd party dust shoe do you recommend? Is the upgraded spoil board a good idea? I am waiting for black Friday to see if there are any discounts.

with the exception of the router, what is the difference from the standard 4040Pro. (personally, I use an air cooled spindle which is really quiet).

I think it's messed up alot of people bought the version one of this machine and shortly later they come out with a version 2 with linear rails . A much more rigid machine !
