This is the SainSmart Genmitsu CNC Router 3018 PRO, featuring a working volume of 300x180x45 mm, this CNC router goes together well and is capable of machining timber, acrylic and aluminium.. It can also engrave copper to make custom PCBs.

Hello, I have a question,
I am new with the cnc3018, when I put it to work with the lasser the machine
only moves linear. but when I put it to work with the router motor, the motor
rises and writes over the air. I have even changed my mother board but it still
doesn't work for me. Please can you guide me? I used candle and laserGRBL.

FIRST: Does it come with software, if not, what do YOU use, and is it free or how much?


SECOND: I want to cut letters out of insulation board (the pink foam board used to insulate home walls).. Can it do that, or is it just strong enough to carve shallow engravings?


I am new to cnc stuff, I think I know that answers, but just want to hear it from a pro.

To check the "extreme accuracy" of the machine, you will need to use a 1/100 comparator and move the table in X and Y under the probe. Given the structure, it's precision depends a lot on the assembly and the maintenance in position of this assembly. It is also a shame not to have an engraving test in aluminum.

I can't give this a passing grade for 229 USD. Now if it were 149 USD I would jump on it and I say this because I already see issues that I could easily whip up fixes for but that lowers the price I am willing to pay. Good video.
