What a great video. Nice production, well organized, clear speech. It all helped to concentrate on the subject matter - that super nice desktop Sainsmart CNC. Thanks for taking the time to do this. It's nice to see all these upgrades in action.

You got to hand it to Genmitsu for really just keeping up with the in-home CNC machine game.

these types of aluminium bracket is actually a good heat dissipator, i managed to install 2 water blocks to the sides and works incredible well. i know in a dc motor cooling the armature is not the best, but it works way better than expected.

It would be so good, if you could buy this in a bundle without all the stuff you dont need anymore after you upgrade!

Thanks for doing this excellent tutorial. It was a great help to me and I would never have come up with the solution to raise the Z height like you did. I did take the easy option and bought the plates from Amazon rather than make my own though. 👍🏻

Bravo on your height fix! Love it when people think outside the shipping box! Only thing I am wondering is why not mount the bed rails out further away from the center axis, for more support, and stiffness?

Ever seen this one? Even after carefully calibrating the XYZ axes my 3018-PROVer and using the Z-probe on every setup, it consistently cuts between 2mm and 3mm deeper than what is called out (using an end mill with a 1/8" shank - the goal is to get a cut 1mm deep in 3mm stock but no luck). Everything else seems to be working accurately across multiple test files in VCarve Pro 10.5, UGS, and Candle but they all produce much deeper cuts than what I'm instructing the CNC make. Cheers

I hadn't thought of extending the Z axis clearance like that... damn I know what i need to do on mine next!

Manual says mount the x axis assembly 46.5mm . do you know why? I saw that @6:55 you had this more than 46.5mm

How do you insert the clamps for holding the wood ? There is no place on the sides if you block with the extra rails heigh!

Excellent video, I would like to make a modification, but I would like to know how far I could extend the x, y, and z axes. I would also like to know if the values that changed $131=315, if previously above it indicates $131=158 that means that the previous value was 158?

Would you be doing more aluminum projects with this machine?

Good job and great video, I think the Y axis will do the wobbling. if I have to extend the Y axis I will use the SBR16 or 12 linear guide or convert the rod from 12 mm to 16 mm.
