If you are involved in the world of dementia care, thank you for doing your part. Even if you enjoy your work, we do know that care partner burnout is a part of your world. So, here are a few strategies to help you avoid that feeling.

We discuss a number of ideas such as finding local resources like respite programs, day programs, and faith communities. We explore ways to recharge your batteries, find moments of joy in your care partnering, and lastly, we strongly encourage you to put together a team, if possible, so that you are not alone (even the Lone Ranger had a Tonto).

Very PRACTICAL .. take my car to the shop, fixing things around the house, taking in my dry cleaning, going grocery shopping for me. All that help “carrying the load”!
