For the president who still does not understand why EU sanctions mean nothing to Russia:
1. Look at the 2014 sanctions put on Russia cutting food supplies that Russia used to import from EU, hoping to starve the russians. 4 years later, Russia became the top exporter of food, and killed the wheat export from France, etc...8 years later, EU has not learned a thing.
2. Russia is the biggest country in the world, and have more resources than EU, USA and Canada put together. They have and had the know how to transform them, and even much better than anyone else in the field of defense: Oil, gas, steel, Nickel, fertilizers, wheat, wood, guns, military plane, nuclear fuel, etc... and they have a strong army to defend their resources.
3. They have 4000 km border with the biggest factory in the world, China, that needs all russian resources, can supply anything Russia needs at a speed 10 times faster than the west, that Russia does not threaten every morning with tariffs, sanctions, invasion etc... as the west does.
4. Even if you surround Russia by closing western border and access to the sea, Russia can exchange with willing customers that number 55% of the world population, including the most dynamic economies, without getting its feet wet.
We are witnessing the case of the frog jumping in front of the elephant when the elephant just keeps going where he wants.

1. I love how the Baltic Trio and Poland are the ones that are the loudest when it comes to picking fights with Russia, completely ignoring that Russia is the one who built 90% of the Industry that they possess, 100% for the Baltic Trio, and 60% for Poland.

2. The Baltic Trio are especially ridicilous considering that both during the USSR, and currently as a part of the European Union and NATO, they depend on the Union/Alliance members for everything. Ranging from food to weapons and from pharmaceuticals to energy.

3. I love how their justification is "But Russia invaded us!", as if Poland didn't invade Lithuania during the interwar period and Germany didn't invade all 4 during WW2. Being friends with Germany? It's completely fine, but Russia? No, Russia is the Devil Incarnate!

4. I also love the "The Russians were colonizing us!" claims, as if the Baltic Trio had large enough populations to fuel the Industrial Capacities built by Russia during the Soviet Era. Where there is a severe lack and need of workers, workers will come, or will be brought over.

5. That is without even mentioning all of the Infrastructural Projects built by the Soviet Union in these countries, ranging from roads to railroads and from airports to seaports. Finally, there are the Natural Gas pipelines, which all of these countries and the EU rely upon.

Hipocrisy at it's finest.

PS: All of these also apply to Ukraine.

PPS: Before replies in the comments come and claim that I have a Bias, I don't. I defend and attack based on the facts. I have both defended and attacked Russia, I have done the same with the USA, Germany, France, China and so on. Heck, I have even defended the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria and Greece, 2 of which claim to this day that my people don't exist and all 3 of which have occupied us!

The problem these idiots have is simple, Russia has a very internalized economy. Factor in that Russia shares a border with nearly every country in earth. Including China. The result is its basically impossible to sanction Russia.

Finally its important to note that Russia is a commodity superpower. People will always need commodities and find a way to get them.

Yeah I’m beyond sick of Ukraine and no Russian has ever mistreated me. The very few Russians I’ve met were very friendly people. I want to fix America and my grandchildren have opportunities. In the past I recommended my grandchildren learning Spanish. Now I wonder if maybe Russian or Japanese.
