4 arrested for funeral scam

They allegedly solicited money for a funeral, and it was all a scam, Rialto police said.

I live in L.A. county and I see the scams all the time. I understand that not all are scams, but the scammers make me not trust ANY of these people.

I remember the very first time someone walked up to me with one of these boards telling me their little sister had died. It was 15 years ago and even then I knew it was a scam, but ppl were not doing it often. A lot of years passed before I ever saw someone do it again. After that, I started to see it on a monthly basis. Also the women that claim to have 3 kids, no job, no food and no money...and when I ask them where those 3 kids are, they walk away. I filmed a lady walking down the street to her car after begging for money all day (a 2021 chrysler)

This is happening NOW in Phoenix AZ. Im sick of it. They run up to your car and show pics of sick kids and im tired of it. You see different kids on different posters on several corners at stoplights.

I once witnessed a cop disburse some pan handlers at a busy intersection. My first thought was, oh man that sucks for those people. Then I observed one of the pan handlers walk to a McDonald's parking lot nearby and throw his cardboard sign in the backseat of a brand new SUV and drive off.
