Thanks! I've done plenty of Ubuntu Server installs before, but I was a bit insecure about the partitioning when doing it in dual boot without seperate physical HDDs. Ubuntu Desktop has a feature that recognizes a Windows installation and does this all automatically for you, but Ubuntu Server requires you to do it manually. This helped me out a lot!

For people who are having issues at 13:02 where you dont get the /boot/efi option, here are some steps to make it work. 1) If your windows is in legacy bios you need to convert it to GPT. You can do that by logging into windows, running cmd at admin level and they typing the command mbr2gpt.exe /convert /allowFullOS. Now if you get an error here you need to fix few things. There is a video "A Solution to "Cannot find OS partition(s) for disk 0" - MBR2GPT". Follow that. Then after correcting the errors, rerun the mbr2gpt command. Then redo whats mentioned on this video. You will see the /boot/efi option. You dont need to download any software to fix this

So around the storage configuration part of installing linux... I followed all the steps so far but I can't seem to continue in the installation since the 'done' option is still grayed out

For anybody that has a Mac, after you make your bootable USB, plug it in, reboot your computer, hold down the option key as soon as you hear the startup chime until the screen displays a list of drives. Double click on the EFI Boot option (most likely an orange icon), and your Mac will boot from your USB.

You can't make a partition into FAT32 if it's larger than 32 gb. Ask me how I know...

I installed Ubuntu server successfully, but something went wrong with the Windows Boot Manager, when choosing it from grub, Windows throws a 'system thread exception not handled' error. There is also no Windows Boot Manager on my BIOS' boot menu anymore: it is only visible in grub. Do you know what happened?

I made it to the end. Questions: #1: When I tried to login to the server I got "This site can't be reach". Shouldn't I be able to see the welcome html? Question #2: I have a second drive (completely free, and would like to put all of Ubuntu stuff there) how is that done? Thanks
