I’m going through this. It feels like childhood trauma walking into a chaotic situation where I have no sense of agency.

I had a full blown panic attack this morning due to constant burnout. I’m talking tears-hyperventilating-chest pains-tremors-unable to breathe, etc. It was a lot. My job is literally making me sick. 🥺😥

Thank you, this explains why I am still not "over" two years of working in a psych hospital during the pandemic...and probably the 12 years prior to that didn't help either!

My daughter came out with a good saying she said don't give problem's rent space in your head that was very profound considering she was only 16yrs x

I'm not sure what I have. I have a highly stressful job, work another job, my teen daughter has depression, PTSD, and anxiety. She was in crisis during covid leading up to this past October which resulted in a stay at a hospital. I was under chronic stress also with her Director of her school. She and 2 other teens were sexually assaulted and gas lit by the director and revenge and sabotage was his end game.
My brain feels broken. I cannot sleep. I have memory loss and I get more annoyed with my family and fiance more now than ever.

20 years in retail and I’m feeling like I hit a brick wall.
Im so so so so so tired of dealing with people and their bullshit.
I really do care.
I try my best but people are becoming UNBEARABLE.
They’re RUDE and demanding.
It’s gotten so so much worse.
I wish I could work in an office, filling in data, away from people. -_-
I just need to get out of this retail hell.

It’s what you call the snowball effect, it can be gradual or instant.

Teachers and students are so extremely busy in May that we hardly even know that it’s a month dedicated to mental health. Why can’t they move it to June instead of forcing all that LGBTQ+ crap on us that kids don’t even need to know about. Seriously. It’s why kids and parents started boycotting Target. Can we like get those flipped? Maybe make my “gay pride” in May when we are too busy to care. And then us have a mental health month in the summer when we can actually acknowledge it. If it’s not “gay pride” in June, then it’s “military pride” in July. I miss the days when summer break actually felt like a break instead of the start of homelessness. We aren’t just burned out of working, but also of paying the bills. The cost of living needs to become affordable again.

Ok so how do you mitigate that? Thought that was going somewhere. 🤔

Covid19 certainly took its toll on medical personnel. I hope to NEVER experience anything like it again. I'm still 'not over' it.
