How to Activate Administrator account via Command Prompt in Windows 8

1. Start Command Prompt as administrator
(go to Start menu, type CMD, right-click Command Prompt, click Run as administrator)

2. Type this command in the Command Prompt window:
net user Administrator /active:yes

3. Go to Start menu and in the upper right corner click your username, than click Administrator. The new Administrator account will be set up for the first time (takes a few moments).

If that's your own computer than you should be able to do it, if you are working on somebody else's PC than you can't turn Guest into Admin...

I am hide my administrator local account. after that I'm going to another user to run cmd as administrator. but the cmd is not open. in the screen appear access deniy . what solving for this problem

amazing .. it worked .. and if some one's user is not being shown only administrator is there which is disabled .. then use this command
c:\windows\system32>net user administrator /active:yes
