FUTURE DOCS, please read this! I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this particular video. I was pushed out of the ED, TWICE, probably as a painkiller seeker, due to a headache like I had never had before in my life. I had been unable to even sleep for three days. Horrible. Of course they did a CT to r/o a bleed or aneurysm and everything - all neg. When I asked if the filling I had recently lost could be the source/cause the doctor actually smirked and said no, that doesn't happen. Well, in fact I knew it DID, so (sorry, I was angry) I went home in excruciating pain and bombarded their ED fax with documentation of it. I got in to see a dentist the next day and with his SIMPLE x-ray he could see that I actually had an abscess on BOTH sides, which didn't present with the typical facial swelling, drainage from the site, etc. Antibiotics, PAIN RELIEF for a person who really needed it, and I luckily got better. Doctors are way too quick to judge and too arrogant to think a patient might actually KNOW something most of the time. And it can cost a person their life.

I had this, i have been on and off with antibiotics, cortisone wich has helped me, i got that tooth removed and im recovering, infected teeth can cause infection and your bodys response for that might be bloodclot because it tries to prevent infection to spread and now you have 2 problems, cloth + infection, that clot can cause rupture in neck veins, basillar artery, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, Cavernous sinus thrombosis, SAH leak, rupture in arteria vertebralis and that can cause building up preassure in your skull, stroke, quadriplegia, diffuculty speak etc. I had acute severe symptoms and now I suffer from the after effects, it's a miracle I survived. They didnt notice first what was wrong with me. Im sorry for long post, im really passionate in health matters, thank you for your videos and effort, i hope you happy, healthy life with full of positive expriences. 👍🏽❤️💪🏽

It is so hard to understand cranial anatomy without many types of models. So helpful!

I asked my dentist for the explanation, and he couldn't understand the reason! I said I am getting problems and redness in my eye right after fillings. Thanks to this video! Well-explained! He seems to be professional and experienced in his work, just like his informative explanations. Thank you.

I'm currently dealing with this type of dental issue on my lower jaw with broken tooth that the filling had fallen out of. Several Days of no sleep, extreme pain throughout the face, neck, eye and ear have made everyday focus and function damn near impossible. I was recently given antibiotics to help combat the infection but feel that it may be too late. This video put it all into perspective as to what and where infection can travel to and the damages that can occur, and in some cases, can result in death. Thank you.

Great video! Also interesting to note that a more common life-threatening tooth infection would be Ludwig's Angina, in which cellulitis spreads quickly and may cut off the airway.

Wow, I am in shock. This explains something I've been dealing with: daily mucus accumulation for about a year and on the same side (and only one side) as a sensitive tooth which I just found out is cracked. And now I've just noticed that my maxilliary nerve is tender on the same side of the tooth! I'm seeing an endodontist ASAP. Thank you, Sam Webster!

Infections of this type are extremely rare and generally only occur in people with pre-existing serious medical conditions!

I love your models! It’s much easier to understand when it’s actually a 3D model as opposed to a 📕 book. Thank you so much for showing the trigeminal nerve from that slice and the veins that run through the center of the head. I took 2 years of anatomy and never got such a precise explanation. You are much appreciated and I’m glad your wife has no nerve or tissue damage in her hand. Our bodies are amazing machines as to repair and adapt. I learn something new every time I watch your lessons. Have a wonderful day. Blessings to y’all from Florida 🐢🐊🌺🌴🐠🪸🌊⚡️🌀🚀😎

Hello from Brazil, Sam! Thanks a lot for your explanations. As a student with a bit of spatial learning difficulties, your way of teaching sure helps a lot to grasp the most important stuff in clinical settings. I'm recommending your channel to all of my friends. Your great work is very much appreciated. 👏👏

Your definition of inflammation conditions from dental complicated infections is beyond medical school.

This makes me think that professional fights are stopped when blood may get into the eye is not so much because of vision damage, but to avoid infection getting to the brain.

Watching this really makes me skeptical of the whole approach to "modern" dentistry (and nutrition guidelines). How many people are walking around with wonderful appearing dental work but also have all sorts of little infections going on? What is the net drag from that on the immune system?
