About 15 years ago, I was warned after a root canal that my wisdom tooth might be an issue down the road. A few days ago there was some pain and an abscess around the wisdom tooth which sent me into a panic. I'd rather avoid paying for the removal--and the actual procedure itself--if I have to. 3 days into taking Amoxicillin the pain is gone.

If you are not allergi to penicillin, and have some sort laying around, and cant afford to get the tooth pulled, just take 1 a day, and it will be gone within a few days. Done it many times in the past with wisdom tooth's, etc. I found that you do not need more than 1, 800mg pill a day, and it will go away in in few days. No dentist will extract an infected tooth, so you need to start this first no matter what. You can go on with the tooth forever, but the infection will return more and more often until you get it pulled.

I went to the Heath department in st Pete for a hole i have in my tooth and they prescribed me amoxicillin and the tooth pain that I have been feeling since I started taking it is crazy. All of my teeth are hurting. My gums are swollen all over my mouth and this is the worse pain I’ve ever felt in my mouth. Due to it being an antibiotic I have to keep taking it but I don’t want to take it anymore because my mouth didn’t feel this before I started it. I don’t feel like the dentist listened to me. I’m going to get it pulled Wednesday. I hope this pain stops soon it’s only been 1 day that I have been taking 500 mg amoxicillin 3/daily 😢

I suffer from extreme anxiety and panic attacks.
I am scared Metronidazole might worsen this on me.
My last big panic lasted 2 hours it had my BPM was stuck at 180 (with me sitting hoping to live).
Should I avoid Metronidazole?

Some asked after you take the antibiotics, will it go away? I'm sure it depends, but I was at the ER because I had no idea what it was. They told me, and said it will not go away on its own. I got the antibiotics.. they were right .. 2 months later, it came right back. so back to the urgent care, got it again. this time i'm going to the dentist.

Yes it does actually, we don't have such a thing as a 'non-payer' for costs to be pushed onto someone else. Everyone regardless of having private health or not is covered by the public system. If you have both you can indicate if you stay at hospital if you're in as a public or a private cover patient. You can choose if you want to go to a doctor that is covered by the public system or go to one that is covered by the private.

US may have best care but has the worst system.

I don't have to look into what he said in order to know he was factually incorrect. He said it was "free". I said it was not and was paid for by his high taxes. While our taxes are high, theirs are higher. You have to look at more than the simple income tax to look at the total tax burden. The only people who experience crippling financial costs are the middle class, the lower class get most everything given to them. I live in NYS and have worked in the social services field for almost 17 years.

You really think that 1.5% pays for everyone's healthcare? REALLY? And that's on top of your normal HIGHER income tax and your 10% VAT...Our system IS messed up, but for messed up reasons like the ridiculous malpractice insurance costs/lawsuits, inability for companies to compete in all states, Fraud/waste, hospitals passing on costs of non-payers to those who do, special "political deals". The only people who have trouble paying for insurance here are those who actually pay for everyone else!

Ads are officially ruining youtube. Use this comment on every video you watch so youtube can acknowledge the overuse of advertising ruining a great site. While we all understand that money makes the world go round, a 15-30 second advertisement every 30 seconds is worse than cable was. Unacceptable. For now youtube ad blocking, while complicated is our only option. When they become reasonable about how often we see them I'll be glad to participate but as of now...NO THANK YOU YOUTUBE. smh

Antibiotics wont reach your tooth root where the problem lies because blood dont get there. At least thats why my dentist said.

@RandomRocketKid

No it's not. You pay for it through the ridiculous taxes Uk citizens pay. "Free health care" is NOT free.

You should really look into that instead of believing what "some guy" said. The taxes are comparable to what is paid in the US, so everyone gets decent health care just without the crippling financial cost that comes with health care in the US.
