I think I’d rather have a tooth extraction if it’s towards the back instead of a root canal. Root canals could bring problems later on

Root canal removal only removes the bacteria in the tooth, not the tissues around it, so eventually you may have to have another root canal removal or lose the tooth because the tooth is now dead, that's why no more pain. It just buys a little time for the tooth.

I had a lot of pain in my front tooth. Dentist thought might be trama to the tooth caused by my teeth grinding at night, or due to an infection. I took antibiotics, and the pain in the tooth and the pain above the tooth disappeared, and it’s been two weeks now with no pain. I’m scheduled for root canal in two months.

I had emergency root canal, took antibiotic but still in pain. Could the infection spread to other teeth which is still me deal with the headaches, ear, and neck pain? Once have an infection if need another root canal on another tooth or removal of any? To heal the body entirely there should be a more evasive bacteria detoxification like IV Therapy or something else in herbal supplements because NO antibiotic does overhaul body bacteria. Your thoughts?

Having my teeth pulled out throughout my life, amoxicillin can only control and suppress a tooth infection. Dentist will give you a brand of amoxicillin you will use for the duration of 5 to 7 days in hopes the medicine will control the abscess enough so that any upcoming dental procedures will be at less pain. But then again, each human bodies are different so a brand of amoxicillin may react strongly or weak to each person, I you notice the brand given to you is not improving the condition of your toothache, change your amoxicillin brand.

DR. you are assuming the worst case scenario. I have experienced two gum boils at the root area and I used an insulin needle, ramming it into the pocket of puss and blood, sucking it out and I healed completely without any additional pain or swelling. True, IF IF the infection is within the tooth, what you state might be true. But to state that antibiotics only reduce the pain is BS. Antibiotics attack bacteria and if used in sufficient quantity over an extended period of time along with natural immune stimulation, you can heal an infection within a tooth in some Root Canal should be the last RESORT

Hi, few months ago a horrible dentist removed infected root but left behind bad tissue resulting in a huge abces under the temporaly filling. A diff dentist fixed it but since then this tooth keeps getting infected again and again. On a third dosis of antibiotics now. The new dentist now sugests for the tip of the root to be removed.

I've had endodontic tx twice, each a year apart with the same tooth. Now, I suspect it's back again after another year. If it's back again, out comes the tooth. It's better than chronic infections.

Hi, anyone ever heard or have the experience of a tooth abscess getting totally gone just after a good course of antibiotics please?
i feel that my abscess is completely gone/treated after 10 days of using Amoxicillin capsules.!? any advise would be very very much appreciate..!!!
i don't really want to touch my tooth as all are under zirconia crown and 4 tooth are also bridge together which makes the job extremely complicated and very much risky to touch..!!! thanks a million in advance for any kind of advice..!!!

Asking a guy like this if you need a root canal is like asking a barber if you need a haircut

Vitamin C of about 2 or 3 grams at a time will cure and prevent abscesses when amoxicillin doesn't work. It really works.
