I was just diagnosed this year. I knew I had osteopenia but I thought all was good. Until about a week after my shoulder surgery I realized my pubic bone was a 10 on the pain scale and I couldn't understand why. It wasn't until I had to do a set of MRI'S that it showed I have displaced fractures on my right pubic Rami bone 😮😬 now I'm trying to educate my 58 yrs old brain to slow down and think twice before I lift bend or twist..

I broke my back twice and I had to actually ask my doctor if I could get a DEXA scan because in those two years nobody even mentioned checking for osteoporosis I was barely 60 and my numbers were -4 on my spine and -3.75 everywhere else.

I'm 25 years old and I was diagnosed with osteoporosis when I was 23. I went to different doctors for years and no one advised me to have a Dexa scan that's why my diagnosis was late and my bones' condition was deteriorating.

I'm 26, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis when I was in the Army 3 years ago. Doctors don't believe me until they see the records themselves. It kinda sucks lol.
