I am hoping you see this question and can help me. Excellent video. I am running into a situation. I make the brush with no problem but I am noticing that when I click on the brush it will leave a faint color tone in a square shape around the brush design. If i use black, it leaves a pale gray box (from the original cropping), if I use a blue, it leaves a faint blue box. And if I click on the pattern more than once to darken the brush (let's say it's a brush of a leaf I made) it will leave a darker box with each click. Is there a way to correct this and eliminate the faint shadow? Thank you.

there are many videos about creating custom brushes but this is the only video for beginners. If you look other videos about creating a brush, you may end up blank coz they like to talk! Good video. Keep up.
