I have been wanting to get better at pure painting so I decided to try to make my own paint brush that can aid me and make the painting process more enjoyable.

In this video I show you step by step how you can make a textured paint brush in Photoshop. I also paint a quick background to demonstrate the brush.

This has to be the best “How to…” video ever made, very well explained. I agree with the fact about liking how the brush strokes look will make you paint more. When one first start to digitally paint, one of the main issues is not liking how this or that brush looks or feels. There's nothing like creating your own to help you express yourself through your paintings.
