Just started driving manual, and I've been struggling to get into first gear smoothly at stop signs and red lights. Even though this video talks about start/stop traffic, the lesson about riding the clutch at low speeds helped me find the bite point and finally get into first gear properly without stalling. Thanks a bunch mate, I can drive my car without the anxiety of other people waiting on me now.

Although I've been driving for 10 years, a vast majority of automobiles in the US are equipped with an automatic transmission, so when I recently bought my first manual car I've had to essentially re-learn how to drive. Your videos have been crucial in that endeavor, and after a month I'm absolutely comfortable with driving stick and enjoying it! Thank you!

The 3 camera perspective is very helpful. I'm a beginner and had been struggling to keep the car slow during reverse, parking and then getting stalled in bumpy roads at low speeds. Learned a lot from this, thanks!

You know you’re a really good driver when you can demonstrate dangerous situations in real time and do it so well just to get the point across👍🏾

Summary: To normally accelerate, push the clutch, give some gas, and lift the clutch to its bite point. To coast, give some gas, push the clutch, slowly lift it to its bite point, and push it down a bit so the car rolls without accelerating.

As someone who self-learned how to drive a manual, your videos are very helpful. I have a few lazy habits I need to break to keep my transmission happy.

I'm absolutely glad that I came across your channel on youtube yesterday. So many of your videos have such great explanations and solutions to some of the problem areas that I'm kind of stressed out about. This is 1 of them. Thank you for being such an awesome online instructor.

I watched this before doing my first ever long journey alone on Friday and it helped soo much, although I'd forgotten the skill in my car slightly on the drive home and stalled a few times 🙈 I only recently bought my first car and I've been so nervous but you are so so helpful. Many thanks!!
