At junctions it's best to keep the clutch up when possible but sometimes you may need to keep it down. In this video I explain and demonstrate the advantages of keeping the clutch up and why you need to hold the clutch down on some junctions.

2:28 this is exactly what I did several times on my first lesson on turnings!! Instructor didn't tell me what I was doing wrong but you have!
