My 4 year old nephew had head lice and passed it on to me and his grandparents. Absolute pain to get rid of.

The easiest way to get rid of head lice is by doing a head lice treatment (you can usually find it at your local pharmacy) and then dyeing your hair after. The chemicals kill all of its eggs as well. Comb your hair with the head lice comb after to remove all the dead eggs and lice.

I’ve had lice twice once from my neighbor and the other time from a classmate. This is an absolute pain! I’ve even thought about just shaving my head because I didn’t want to deal with it! My sister has them and I’m scared if I have them again because she slept with me during an all nighter. My moms asleep and we’ll definitely have to break the news to her in the morning! I’m absolutely devastated. Should I shave my head? Or suffer the treatment?

Great advice to use the old fashioned way, when we didn't have all the chemicals..

My daughter brought them home from school. It's a bit of a nightmare using that nit comb on my long bleached hair. Not so bad with the conditioner but terrible with the medicated lotion. And my daughter hates it and her hair is so thick it is hard to spot them. Plus my eyes aren't what they used to be. I want to be able to spot them early but even with a magnifying glass I can only see the adults properly. Grrr pesky lil blighters! I guess I'll just have to be a brunette again.

30 minutes for long hair.. nono, when It's down to your butt it takes 30 minutes just to normally comb/brush it to the point such a tiny comb can even get all the way to the ends!

My friend Guadalupe had lice twice and both times she had it I never caught it which was weird because we were so close someone told me once that lice don't like the smell of medication maybe that's why I never caught it because I take a lot of medication not only that but I have the medicine pump inside me it's to relax my muscles because I suffer from muscle spasms:-(

The video is helpful….. but we’ve had nits in our household for 2 months now!!! Despite following the recommendations, using treatments accurately and the wet come method. I’m at a loss!

Ahhh help I am panicking my 11 year old has it !! I just went and bought all new bedding and pillow . But I went ahead and bought the treatment . So should I try shampoo and the conditioner combing first ?! How does that kill them ?? I’m slightly confused on how to even do this treatment .

I have a tiny bump on my head, so.. I felt this scab on my head, so I plucked it off and looked at it for a second and figured out it was a tick or head lice. But I’m pretty sure it was black, so I threw it in my house not thinking about it and went to tell my mom. And I’m itching everywhere on my body so?..

Suggestion: lice are attracted to clean hair not dirty hair. So Maybe if you have lice, wash your hair less but brush it more.

Seriously, idk how you do things over there in the UK? But, normally here in America, if you're child has head lice, they're sent home. Unless the nurse don't know what she's looking for? It's been a nightmare. Thanks for the share anyways.
