Hey I’m 15 and I’m using a oil free acne wash and a spot treatment right after is that ok to do because I’m only noticing the Pimples to go down and not fully disappear

I used the clean and clear spot treatment and although the pimples settled down and turned flat, the area around the pimples are dry. The pimples are pretty red as well. The skin around the pimples are flaking off and makeup on top of it looks horrible. Do I keep on putting the treatment on? Do I stop? Any recommendations? I am 13 years old if that helps with recommendations
