Been doing lightweight high rep deadlifts and squats for 2 weeks. To make sure I perfect my form. This is week 3 and did my first heavy set of 5 reps 5 sets. My legs, glutes, squads, and back have never been worked out like this. I can't wait to see the gains I make after a few months of this

This is the most underrated excercise
People don’t understand that you can have huge arms and back but if you don’t have power in your waist you won’t beat nobody in the street

This excercise besides muscle Gives lot lot lot of power to your whole body

For me, the deadlift makes my lower back pain disappear. When it starts creeping back in, I just know what I have neglected

Use a hex bar if you get back pain deadlifting. As I get older I only use the hex bar as it makes the weight not in front of you which causes injury.

I hate lifting Weights but since I start doing Deadlifts I am start liking lifting weights. I definitely notice that my strength is increased. First day I lift 60 pound and I was dead after finishing. After 2 months keep pushing 3 days a week. Now my heaviest dead lift is 255 pound. Thanks 🙏 for awesome videos and knowledge. Keep it up

I agree with what is said; deadlifting is one wholesome exercise. Though I realised it late, I do deadlift twice a week. Not only did it activate major muscles, but I also observed some stark changes, like it fixing my knee pains and improving the arch of my foot. (I developed flat feet due to a sedentary life style and being overweight)

I’ll tell you what happens! Just today, with light weight, I did 5 sets of upper back squats for 7 reps and then 3 sets of 5 reps straight bar common DL again with light weight. I do light weight until I know I have mastered that weight to increase 10 lbs. Form and firing of all the proper muscles at it’s needed time with proper tempo and extension helps increase strength where you want it. When I was done with the 5 set I felt fine for about 30 sec. Then I felt the woozy. I sat down and started my breathing exercises. I get extremely close to fainting each time I do DL. It’s the hardest exercise and taxes your central nervous system to the MAX. Specially if your form, tempo and muscle firing execution is on point. My body started beading sweet so fast. Intense! This happens to me twice a week and only after I do DL.

I hurt my lower back slipped disc and it was years ago and I couldn’t stand sitting for over 20 min to stand back up was a pain, couldn’t lift anything really. Long story short I started weight lifting. Very embarrassing deadlifting an empty bar . Couple months in im deadlifting 110lbs for 8 reps, my back problems have disappeared. I can lift really heavy things like those window unit AC’s the big ones. My chest has grown a lot and legs feel more stable, just all around great. I encourage everyone with body issues to start, even if it’s from zero weight like I did. Act like your in the gym by yourself, don’t worry about anyone there, they don matter. Focus on yourself🙏…

I learned Deadlift is the King of barbell exercises. Total body training, improved posture, increase strength, increase energy. It the best exercise. Most painful at first but the best one you can do.

I started deadlifts two months ago and that's all I really do now. I'm not a fan of the straight bar so I use the trap bar for deadlifts because it takes the strain off my lower back.

I'm actually excited to start deadlifting. I've been avoiding it since I started working out 2 months ago. I'm going to lift light to get my form together, and when I get comfortable, get heavy with it.

As an aside, a channel called House of Hypertrophy and others have suggested that rests of 3 minutes were more beneficial for muscle growth than 1 minute rests. Depends how many sets you do, intensity, whether it’s super/drop sets among other things though.
