Been on 100mg Losarten and 5mg Amlodipine for high bp for four years now. I have absolutely no side effects and good blood results when tested every 3 months. If I miss my bp meds, my face gets flushed, I get a headache, and my bp goes up. So, I benefit greatly from both.

I've been on Losartan for very many years and have had almost all the symptoms mentioned for years. I thought I was just an unhealthy person. I mentioned the symptoms to my doctor over the years. She did ask me about the symptoms regularly but nothing ever came of it. I recently started experiencing low bp and decided to cut back my dosage. I did this over several weeks. I have now been drug free for a week. My bp is normal. I don't think everyone should cut back.I did only because the low blood pressure symptoms were very exaggerated. Please monitor your bp readings regularly. I was over medicated for years.

I have been in Losartan for nearly 3 years and now the dosage has been increased from 25mg to 50mg but it is horrible and the pain in my temple and head (not headaches per se) are getting really bad.
When on 25mg no cough, but now I have a cough on 50 mg.
Communicate with GPs in Britain is more difficult than communicating with aliens ! The majority work from home or if surgery than they deal with you by ohone, just like nurses.
Why are these doctors being paid so much ?
Nowhere else in Europe do doctors treat their patients the way we are being treated ! It is very depressing.

Talk to your doctor obviously doesn’t apply to NHS patients. Your doctor doesn’t listen, they just know how to medicate. Appointments with your GP are not long enough to have a conversation.

Had all bad side effects to losinipril, amlodopine and now losartan. I am not taking anything now at age 70 and only took a few months of the pills each time they switched me. I don't check my bp anymore and am feeling much better without them. I wonder if they were invested to knock off seniors, you know how much they complain about getting us off SS and medicare, this would work great.

My kidney doctor just prescribed Losartan for my high blood pressure. I am refusing to take it! There is absolutely no way I am going to take something with this many side effects! This was prescribed after taking my blood pressure on one day. Never mind the fact that I was running to get to my appointment, running through the parking structure to be on time, wearing long sleeves and had to pee! Never before had I been told I had high blood pressure by any other doctor. I choose to do it the old-fashioned way, naturally!!!

My doctor wrote a script for 25 mg of Losartan after having the infamous Lisinopril cough, dizziness and joint/body pain. I read that Losartan was recalled (in some batches/lots and/or manufacturers) due to the carcinogen nitrosamine/NMBA's? What method is used to determine that certain batches are safe? One of the recommendations for cough in this video is to take another drug which makes me laugh. We are being inundated with toxins so much and it's frustrating.
