What Do You Get Out of Mass

Focusing on Jesus' words in the sixth chapter of John, Chris Stefanick explains why the Holy Mass is not about what you get --but what you give. The Mass is not about entertainment, Chris explains. The Mass is about Jesus' gift of Himself in the Bread of Life: The Holy Eucharist. The Mass is about Love: specifically the Love Jesus gives you and the Love Jesus desires back from you.
If you think the Mass is all about how you feel and what you "get out of it", you're missing the point.

God Bless you, Chris for explaining our faith!! And the Miracle of the Holy Mass. I've been Catholic all my life and just now at 40 years old did I finally get it. Now I go to daily Mass and it goes by so fast that I wish it was longer. I wish for all Catholics to understand that Holy Mass is Heaven on Earth no matter how bad the homily was or the music or the people behave. We are in God's time and in the language of the spirit. Heaven & Earth unite.

I really like the way this man shares the love of Jesus Christ. I hope he is still active in doing so.

Thank you for this, When taking the Eucharist I had always seen it as me receiving Jesus but never even gave thought that it's actually Jesus receiving thank you, now whenever I take the Eucharist I'll remember those words, Our Lord is forever great! May he continue to Bless you and the people in your life!

WoW - your explanation is awesome. I will never again see the Host in the same way. I will never see it again as the Host - but as the living Lord that I have always been taught that it is. Thank you and God bless.

This is amazing. Thank you Chris so much for this explanation! This past retreat in St. Louis changed the way I saw Jesus in the Eucharist! It has definitely changed my life. I just wanted you to know that your work changes lives everyday!

Thank you for this wonderful presentation on the Eucharist. I used the miracle of Lanciano in one of my homilies but your presentation and excitement takes it to another level of understanding. God has definitely gifted you with his Holy Spirit.

Intresting explanation but i think a little too much explaining on your end. Jesus literally explains what He means in vs ‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬
[63] It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing;

the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Then Peter who does understand it very well says what Jesus is saying: ‭‭John‬ ‭6:68‭-‬69‬
[68] Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go?

You have words of eternal life.

Please read your Bible it explains thru the apostles very clearly what Jesus said. Read the Bible!! Peace from a brother in Christ.

@MaximosMagnus- Can I see your liturgical police badge? If you have a serious grievance as to the authenticity of the Steubenville "services, " then please, by all means contact the local ordinary. If you don't like the local ordinary and his Christ commissioned authority in the Roman Rite, then you have far greater issues to address. Deus lux Mea-
