Jordan Peterson - The father many of us didn't have.

Fact: *watching JP videos alone will NOT help you, get our ass up and start working*

My wife brought home a cat one day, and I was like "Oh no!" because I didn't want the additional responsibility, even though cats are pretty easy to care for. That cat is probably my best friend now.

"Don't be afraid of taking on responsibility."
Hits my heart right there.

Dr. Peterson is the father some of us needed to have. He will be my role model for how to be a father to my future child.

I’m almost 30. My 20’s are coming to an end but I feel like I still needed to hear that. Especially that last part. I’ve been so afraid of settling down with someone and starting a family. I’ve always thought “Maybe after I do this” or “Maybe after I accomplish that”. I need to accept that I’m not superhuman and I’ll never be the “perfect” man. I just want to be a good husband and father some day. It’s the underlying reason for everything that I do. I don’t want to let them down.

I'm 24, balancing work and a music career. Have depression and anxiety, family issues, and shitload of things that keep me awake at night. Sometimes I can't get out of bed, sometimes I think about taking my own life.

I hold on to JP's words like a lifeline.

Edit: woah, you guys are really nice. Thanks a bunch, they really mean a lot.

I'm the kind of person who doesn't get attached to celebrities, or famous people in the social media world. But to be honest, with how much I've been impacted by your lessons, I know one day I'll shed some tears when you leave this planet to a better life. Until then, I will enjoy every piece of content and wisdom you share with me and people around the world. Cheers to health and many more years of life

As someone in my 20s, this sounds like some good advice, and I need to apply it better

I would marry his daughter primarily to have him as a father-in-law.

Advice for young men:
Jordan Peterson: "Make plans, be responsible and decisive, start a family"
Modern mainstream: "Apologize, give us everything you have, stop existing"

I met my husband, when he was 20 and I was 15. He died with me holding his hand. he was 73, I was 68. weeks short of 50 years of marriage. Four children later, one died of cancer at 24. 2. boys 2 girls. I listen to JP and he will never know, that I lived what he advises. He is right, live this way and you will have done your best! no more, no less, give it your all. Then you will/can not have, any regrets.

this isn't advice to young men in their twenties, its advice to anyone.

18 moved out paying bills working on days off and i started my school for my career. It feels like a lot, sometimes overwhelming but it's not always so difficult either.
I'm loning this journey and it feels nice and encouraging to watch this on a time where I feel i needed it most. Thank you

I'm 25 and married, have a 10 month old, house, 2 cars, and starting on a business plan to one day be self-sufficient and give my child the best education possible. Very stressful but very rewarding. Thank you Dr. Peterson.

May God continue to bless this man. He speaks so much Relevant Truth In a World full of lies, and a world that proudly spreads misinformation. Thank you Dr. Peterson.
