Why does no one mention this about fermented foods? It's all positives and how great fermented foods are for your digestion. What about the downsides from all the acids? Kombucha can destroy your teeth and give you cavities.

Fermented foods are suppose to be like a side dish, not the main course. Ur having too much acidic food all at the same time

I think you are missing the big picture here. Fermented foods are not supposed to be your regular all in one food. There are foods you eat very little quantities in addition to your regular meals. Remember these foods help with your gut bacteria, and cause your gut to take in more nutrients hence a better digestion which is why you feel great in your stomach. So for your skin I think it is just a question of balance, you almost there but you need to analyze the foods you eat regularly. Because your skin is an indication of what is going on in your

Except for yogurts, cheeses and other milk ferments, these foods are intended to be condiments. They’re SEASONAL. They’re not intended to become a major portion of your dietary intake.

I think fasting periods also allow your teeth to rest. I remember hearing something about avoiding brushing whenever your enamel is softened by acids. So be careful with that.

Also, look up coconut oil pulling. Basically, putting coconut oil in your mouth and pulling it through your teeth. I find it to work insanely well for discoloration.

Maybe now that your microbiome is built up more, you can reduce the fermented foods to smaller amounts.

duude i love you but for as long as ive watched you (pre-thailand) you dont ever do anything in moderation. If you decide to have juices as a part of you diet you immediately start drinking like 20 gallons of fresh squeezed juice a day, or the tea thing you were doing when you were carnivorish, why do you have to put 8 bags of tea in your pot and drink the whole thing... now with this, maybe you just go too hard?

Just swish 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate dissolved in water in your mouth for about 30 seconds after eating or drinking anything acidic. And no one warned you about it because most people don’t eat a diet compromised solely if acidic, fermented foods, and most people assume that others wouldn’t ever do that. Idk why you’re on such a diet, but if you’re going to continue it, you e just got to neutralize the acid in your mouth after eating/drinking these foods and beverages.

I and my family have been eating fermented food years and I have never heard of this issue. How long were you on this diet ? Also, I am not vegan so that might be why I don’t have the issue.

Fluoride is a super glue that stays sticky years on end (sticky that requires your skin to shed before it drops off. I was a dental assistant) and attracts all the food you eat onto your teeth, especially calcium. The place that there is most fluoride in the body is the pineal gland, which becomes calcified when calcium is attracted to it (this gland rests in your brain and governs such this as feelings), which can be decalcified with salts such as magnesium (used in pools to decalsify the pool walls). Enamel is created by your own saliva (that's why people who take medication or do drugs have such bad teeth... lack of saliva). Most likely I would say that it may be the lemon being attracted to stick to your teeth? Try a hard toothbrush (to get the fluoride off), brush with water, then rinse the mouth out with sea salt water (table salt is fake and harmful) to rid the mouth of bacteria. Drink the lemon with a straw (to get it past your teeth) in the meantime till your teeth improve.

Also the ginger stains, it is acidic. But... you need to do some kind of coconut or some saturated oil pulling with salt in the morning before you drink anything, then you spit it out in your plant compost bin. Also, try to avoid bread, or don't toast it. The more abrasive it is the more damage it does.

I am blessed with strong teeth. I use xylitol and neem tooth paste. I also have been doing mouth taping for over 5 years. It helps the teeth by preventing dry mouth. It also has many other odd benefits.

LOL, I can imagine your phone call: "Hello... I found your phone in the forest... If you want to ever see it again, come meet me in the woods... Also nice dogs you have. It'd be a shame to lose them too!"

Ya know how to drink while bypassing your teeth? Also everytime you do something acidic, immediately do something alkaline, either a tiny bit of salt, calcium, a romaine leaf and/or rinse with some water with just a tiny amount of salt. Thats what I'm doing and feels great

Hey buddy, I've been there with fermented veggies and hibiscus. Gave myself a couple cavities. Acids demineralize and eat away enamel. And lacto bacteria like in the stomach are the ones that are known to cause cavities, some worse than others (like the classic Mutans lacto stains). They will eat sugars and produce acid. What I find isyou can neutralize with a bit of baking soda rinse if you have something super acidic, and xylitol if you have sugar (will stimulate saliva which remineralizes teeth, and kills off the bad lacto bacteria in the mouth as they cant digest that sugar). Bonus points for introducing good bacteria like the Salivarius strain.

Hope this helps you or somebody else reading this. Cheers!

Isn't it better and simpler to just stick with KEFIR ?(water kefir and milk kefir)

Since a lot of people seem to claim that they get all the probiotics benefits just from kefir and it's got the best bacterial composition of all.
Makes it both simpler and limits the risks of over-doing fermented foods, while being efficient enough already.
