Great video. I think elbow and knee pads are also great for beginners. As a beginner, it’s almost certain you’ll fall a few times. I fell and got a deep gash on my elbow two months ago and it’s still not completely healed. It’s really easy to avoid that sort of injury with simple pads, and it prevents beginners like me from getting discouraged. I ripped my gloves but I was so glad I was wearing them! Palm injuries are PAINFUL!

small note to the side, if you already have a 29er hardtail lying around you may be able to upgrade it to a 27, 5+ tires which will ease out some technical trails and harsh drops, due to the ability of using lower tire pressures.
