I will admit that when Palpatine’s pupils returned and his eyes glowed yellow again, I was both terrified and excited to see a fully powered Sith Lord in action.

I love the face that Palpatine makes right before he pulls them. Definitely reminds me of his hilarious expressions from Episode III.

Nonsensical as this movie might be, it's always a blast to see Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine.

It's shows the story telling had a lot left to do when you need explainations for things but...
This Palpatine was the only clone body that was force sensitive and could hold his spirit. That is why he doesn't have the ridges on his face after the Mace Windu fight, so genetically he is the same but he doesn't carry the same physical wear and tear. The reason why he doesn't look like young Sheev is because that was a force mask to look like a young politician who everyone would get behind. Untamed Dark Side energy makes the skin grey and eyes yellow. So it all fits.
