After trying everything including cleaning the speaker with brush when it didnt work I was upset
..but I tried it again after sometime and cleaned the headphone speaker more cautiously and it worked...Am literally crying..Thanks a lot for the suggestion🎉

That brush technique worked like a charm for me. I also took a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a tip of a q-tip and gently rubbed the speaker, quickly following up with the dry end to absorb any worked up grime/dirt/oils. The speaker is good as new now!

What are u talkin about? Why would going to accessibility then scrolling down to touch then clickin “call audio routing” and clicking “ speaker” do anything for hearing from Your phone itself? The problem is the phone only works ON speaker & headphones!!

Thanks, call audio routing, set to speaker worked for me. ( sorry i was wrong its not fixed, all this done is set the phone to answer by speaker, the ear piece still doesn't work)

Ive had this issue for 2 years lol. Had iphone 12 since launch. Crazy because my iphone is in excellent condition. Just upgraded and you fixed my issue. Dam got the iphone 14 pro and still prefer the purple 12

Tried all that but none works. Xs Max. Suddenly my unexpected solution was accidentally drop the iPhone with screen facing down (WARNING: USE GOOD CASING WITH MORE GAP IN BETWEEN SCREEN AND DROP SURFACE) ... and TADAAA upper speaker get it life back. Like if this helps you too!
