Menopause sometimes gets a bad reputation. And actually there’s a few things that are pretty great about it. have a whole YouTube video on this on my channel Therapy in a Nutshell.

And while you’re there check out my NEW membership! It’s on sale right now for a limited time.

In therapy I use a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systems Theory, positive psychology, and a bio-psycho-social approach to treating mental illness and other challenges we all face in life. The ideas from my videos are frequently adapted from multiple sources. Many of them come from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, especially the work of Steven Hayes, Jason Luoma, and Russ Harris. The sections on stress and the mind-body connection derive from the work of Stephen Porges (the Polyvagal theory), Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing) Francine Shapiro (EMDR), and Bessel Van Der Kolk. I also rely heavily on the work of the Arbinger institute for my overall understanding of our ability to choose our life's direction.

This is true. Sucks that it came with menopause and not sooner in life.

Sometimes you need to watch how much you don't care what other people think. I find it difficult to deal with people I don't like in my business now and have dropped most of them, but that means I don't actually work that much any more and am really struggling trying to make ends meet. Sometimes, in order to keep housing and to eat, you need to suck up to people, unfortunately.

I wonder if it's like this also for women who had to remove their uterus due to health reasons?

I am just moving into this phase and sometimes feel a little crazy! Any more tips to help deal, Emma?

That’s not menopause, that’s maturity.

I have been like that since shortly before 30. And it's growing more and more in that direction. So I wonder what will happen after Menopause...

I'd rather stay overly sensitive if it meant my body wasn't going through all this BS...that may or may not upy risks for cancers later on. ><

This is nonsense…. this happens to everyone as we age. We lose our strength and are unable to deal with unpleasant things as well as we used to.. Plus, we become more of ourselves. Regardless of what data there is to support her theory, we all get intolerant, cranky and more confident living in our own skin

Propose a change in words for the MENstruation and MENopause should be renamed without the word MEN in them.
