I laughed at myself a bit because when he brought up "solving puzzles, " I thought, "I'm an INTP and I don't care about puzzles." Then he gave a specific example of a cryptic word puzzle and I literally leaned forward in my chair - intrigued and desperate to know the answer to the puzzle.

I think there’s this big misconception than INTPS can’t understand emotion(s). I think INTPS can be very good at this if we put time into it like so many other things. We can easily break it down to what action causes what reaction and pick and choose along with our intuition the best action for the reaction we want. We can begin to understand what others want and why as we know what we want and why often. Simply by using psychology and logical primitive constructs we can break down conversations and become very socially adept introverts.
