Wow, so much easier to make simple geography in UE4 that snaps to a grid and then take it into Blender. This was a good video

My opinion if its Unreal Project you better enable USD plugin and export entire scene (DONT USE INSTANCES) into blender USD branch from Nvidia Omniverse launcher or else, cause USD includes materials aka disney principled bsdf for everything (MaterialX/MDL), and USD has structure of entire scene like collection of objects. I start to like USD after Alembic (.abc) which is great but dont work with materials.

Thx for this tutorial. Can you show us how to export the UE4 default TPS player character into Maya & Blender so we can make animations him using his rig in the 3D software, and then re-import it back into UE4.

i was always wondering what is the proper workflow to create a cinematic scene.. So if i m not wrong, since unreal engine can built nice scenes but it isn't that good in animation, i guess that you can built your scene in Unreal, export it in Maya or Blender, make the animation there (based on the scene) and then export the animation back to unreal... am I wrong ?

Great video first off, but I have a question. Once u finish animating the characters in the scene, for example in maya and want to transfer the scene back over to ue4, how would you send the characters over so that they are in the same position?

is it possible to export a city map for example?

So I’m trying to get into VFX and for what reason would you need to export Unreal to Blended/Maya? Is it for graphics or modeling or something else. I’ve seen tutorials on both unreal and blender and I’m torn between using one or the other.
