I was running short on time to do a fully fledged video but today I will try my best to compare the Meta Quest Pro and the HP Reverb G2 while trying to drive at the same time.

If you have any more questions please leave a comment down below and I will try my best to answer them.

hope you enjoy the non professional video :)

#automobilista2 #HPReverbG2 #meatquestpro

Automobilista 2 once again puts you in the driving seat of an advanced and diverse racing simulator - now with incredible graphical quality, high-profile cars and tracks, advanced dynamic track condition system and VR support.

Great video, coming from a G2 to a Quest Pro I completely agree. It's jaw droppingly good and I'm replaying even games from 2017 and finding they now look amazing. These pancake lenses are something else, and with local dimming and black blacks its the perfect HMD for the next year or so.

In a year the eye tracked foveated rendering is going to be a big deal. It's beta now and works with iRacing and ACC as well as MSFS. But if Quest 3 doesn't get eye tracking I think that'll be the big differentiator. It's up to a 50% performance lift which helps justify the higher price of the Pro as you can have a weaker GPU and get the same FPS.

The quest pro is the performance sweet spot for sim racing right now until we get 5090's. I got the eye tracked foveated rendering working in ACC and nobody seems to believe me when I tell them I finally got that sim to look and run as good as AMS2. The only thing I'm still struggling with is the comfort but it's much better after getting a few mods.

Agree with all, except for the comfort. But the Globular Clusters comfort kit solved that, so in my extremely happy place atm. Sweet spot? It's all sweet spot.

I'm using it for flightsims and while I haven't aold my G2 yet, I know it's not coming out of that box again. The Quest Pro is just so good. And the added benefit is that I'm having a TON of fun playing all kinds of silly and cool games in standalone mode.

I thought the Quest Pro was the most disappointing headset I've tried. Comfort levels were low, input lag was noticeable, image compression was very noticeable with blurred patches appearing on roads etc. Jittery. Audio cut outs, Lower graphic performance due to having to do the image compression etc etc. I was switching between a Reverb G2 v2 and the Pro on 2x different machines with RTX 4090. I tried to like it and each time I put the Reverb back on I disliked the QPro more. In the end I returned it. It was naff. Use OpenXR on the Reverb, set super-sampling to 1.5 - 2x, add some sharpening and it's a whole league above the Qpro.

I just got a Quest Pro (coming from an Index). It's so much better. It's really amazing. Feels like going from 720p to 4k

Happy owner as well coming from G2. I did need to buy the Globular Cluster comfort kit. From worst to best comfort headset. Also I like to keep my headset open on the bottom only using side light blockers. Keeps my head cool.

Will. Do you have a discord server or any type of community where your subscribers can get together and race? Love your videos man. Sim racing in VR is a niche that has needed to be filled for a while and you’re doing a great job at that.

in the headset settings there is the option for recording the video, as default is set to the left eye, you can swap it... if you use SideQuest you can even select both eyes and the recording will be centred

I use a pico 4, its resolution is higher than that of meta pro, it just doesn't have eye tracking, well configured for the simulator it is excellent, a great cost benefit, and use virtual desktop, now with new codecs, it is light years ahead of any other software, and using a good wifi 6 router you get rid of the cables, I have great experiences with my simulators.

You can use Bluetooth for sound. I connect my samsung earbuds pro2 and it sounds amazing

I bought some HP G2 and it looks blurry at a distance, so I made a return.
After what I see in your video it is clear that the Quest Pro is worth it for simracing so I am going for them.
I would like to know what graphics card you have.
I have an nvidia 3090. Will it fall short?

Thank you so much.

Using my quest 2 with the original usb-c link cable (usb-c to usb-c) the headset always stays at 100% charge, even after several hours of use. You stated in the review this isn’t the case with the pro, or are you using a usb-c to usb-a cable?

Have you tried a Quest 2? I've got a Quest2 and would be interested to know whether the pro is worth an upgrade? Bit cost for potentially marginal gain

Thx for your video. Thinking of buying either quest pro or 3 or HP reverb. What will be best for my config? Asus rog RTX3070 oc, I5-10600k? Any help to make choice will be appreciated.
