Duct tape!
1) Clean the big stuff away
2) Put some duct tape on the openings
3) Use a pointy object to push it in and get it to touch the whole screen
4) Pull it off and repeat!
I suggest to do it lightly the first time to make sure not to push the wax in further.

A BIG thumbs up! You my friend are the domestic cleaning savage king! I’ve tried everything to clean the wax out of my new JayBird Vistas, alcohol, Q-Tips, toothbrush, nothing worked! My right EarPod was so low it was barely audible and after trying everything I thought it must have been an electronic issue. I saw your video and thought I would give it a shot, ordered the Fun-Tak putty Friday got it Monday and my EarPods haven’t sounded like this since they were brand new! Great video- I have sennheiser earbuds and I broke some pulled the mesh right out and luckily got it back in and it works. So be careful doing this, they still work but I nearly crapped myself!

Yup this works, best results for sure. I then use a quick blast of compressed air to complete the job.
