Hey everyone! A little disclaimer here:

1. We had to change some of the footage (caught on camera) because we've been claimed for copyright issues by the Olympic Committee.
2. We know we made a small flag mistake!

We're sorry about that! Thank you for watching, and stay tuned – something big is coming!!!

The cyclist was killed by letting him sit in a hotter than outside tent after heat stroke. Not cooling him down immediately cost him his life

The most horrific tragedy was the Paris opening ceremony.

Forget the speed, having exposed metal beams on the side of the track was negligent beyond belief.

Its noteworthy that the majority of snow and ice accidents occured during training sessions.

The winter games are dangerous. But since the athletes aren't familiar with the tracks or slopes, most of them happen during practice.

I remember when the guy got killed in Vancouver.

The sound of his head hitting the beam was sickening.

When they consider a crash rate of 3% during testing to be within standards, they KNOW there's going to be some deaths when they let large numbers of athletes begin competing on it

If you guys didn't know, the person in the thumbnail was Gernot Reinstadler who was part of the Austrian downhill team back in the 1990s. What happened was while doing a training run for a race he ended up losing control and hitting the safety nets. He ended up fracturing his pelvis getting severe internal injuries and started bleeding out immediately. He then died at the same night at a hospital in Interlaken. I don't recommend trying to find the video, its pretty graphic and overall very sad to see.

The biggest danger now is swimming in a Paris river filled with poop

That Vancouver sliding course was fast and difficult, but the real failure was not extending the wall out of that final corner long enough to cover the pillars. It was clearly possible to do so, given that that's exactly what was done after Kumaritashvili's crash in order to make the track usable for the Games.

The accident in the thumbnail is way way worse than any of these. That one was actually hard to stomach when I saw the video.

Australian avoiding skiers on a course he was on, crashes & dies, the OCI puts the blame on Australian team but it was the organisers that had skiers on the track while the competition was going

As a kid in the 50s and 60s, Saturday afternoon featured a show call the wild world of sports, and although not during the Olympics 4 bobsledderes were killed when they went over the bank into the trees, something that stuck with me my whole life

These athletes often put their lives on the line to get to the Olympics. Many of us don’t realize how dangerous sports can be. Especially high impact and high risk sports. I played basketball for a few years and had one neck injury from blocking a jump shot and that injury changed my life. Never played basketball again.

Crazy that they just have exposed metal beams right next to a Luge track. You’d think they would at least wrap them in a soft material to help soften the blow if someone were to fly into one! 🤦🏽‍♂️

I'll never forget Nodar's death. I was 10 when I watched it and I haven't watched luge or skeleton the same way again.

The guy in the thumbnail was Gernot Reinstadler. While training for the Lauberhorn race, he lost control in one of the turns and flew into the safety nets where his ski got caught and cut up his groin. He suffered pelvic fractures and severe bleeding and internal damages before he eventually died in a nearby hospital. There is a graphic video of the event on YouTube where you can see him doing the splits after the accident, not because he was flexible but because of his injury.
