Derrick Redmond and his Dad will forever be my most favorite Olympic moment. Makes me cry every time and makes me think of my Dad. He literally came to every track meet I ever had, hugged me when I lost and hugged me when I won. I'm so lucky to have a sweet Dad and Derrick is too!

in case people didn't know, the last one the runner (derek redmond) tore his hamstring (i think). He kept running so he could finish. hi dad ran out to see if he was okay. his dad said "you don't have to do this" but he told him "yes i do". so his dad said "then we'll do this together" .he walked with him until they were only a few feet away from the finish line where he let him go so he could complete his race. although he was put down as "did not finish" because he was helped, he received a standing ovation from the crowd of over 65, 000.

the last one made me cry. and i loved how he waved everyone who tried to help off. he wanted to take his SON to the finishline himself. god bless him..

Number 5 though! He did not want to quit and Dad wouldn't let anyone get in the way of him crossing that finish line. A great thing to chase a dream. Even greater to have the full support of someone who believes in your dream

First one was heartwarming.... What kind of passion she had to win I saw tears in her eyes due to pain.... But she wins.... Not only the gold but over the pain... Hats off to the intension, passion her focus on her Hats offf again

#5 makes me cry because there was a determination/strength he showed before his dad came....almost like had to be brave and finish hurt with no emotion....once he realized his dad was there he broke down and was so vulnerable and trusting to be hurt and helped and still finish....and the protection from his dad in that moment was priceless 😍😍😭😭
