I am currently in the UK, and I am really worried about the situation right now. This could lead to a full on World War III and I am not on the side of starting such a dramatic and bloody crisis. I don't understand why people are putting the blame on the places that are getting attacked, when they don't have control over this whatsoever. Russia is trying to capture the whole of Ukraine, but why? It's like we ignore the bloodshed of our ancestors from past events to only create more horrific events further down into the future. We've already had two world wars, it is just idiotic to start another one, though we are slowly getting to that decision. World leaders are trying to help Ukraine as much as they can, without leading to more dreadful events that may take place. If we look at it more, if World War III starts, it will be horrifying. We have more nuclear weapons, army supplies and more military people on each side. If World War III starts, earth may cease to exist, as those nuclear weapons could just explode all of the Earth. What Putin is currently doing for Ukraine may seem harmful enough for us, but as more world leaders are getting involved it could lead to World War III. As coronavirus hasn't gone yet, and people are still suffering from the effects of this, it is quite annoying and immature to see another crisis happening. Coronavirus was enough to make almost everyone suffer, and having a huge war start isn't going to make things better. We were bought down to Earth to support each other, not live in constant wars. It hasn't even been a full century since World War II and it has just been over a century since World War I. I know it's not as straight forward as what I said, people just don't listen. If we had all payed attention to the blood caused by WW1 and WW2, we would've stopped this time ago. History just repeats itself because of some people in the world. A lot of people, including me just want to live in peace, without a care about what happens, as nothing severe would happen. These dreadful events may lead to extinction. Do we really want that?

I wish the best for everyone during these times, Russian, Ukrainian or not, we don't deserve this. Stay safe.

Regardless if media is biased or not, at least in the west, you have the chance or option of reading or watching from other sources. The fact that China and Russia closed this option makes it far too controlling and biased.

Russians do not want war. Ukrainians don’t strive for war either. This is obvious. But what an average Russian doesn’t seem to understand (or doesn’t want to understand) is that said war already happens, while each Ukrainian knows it from first hand experience.
A lot of us know exactly who crossed the border eight years ago. Unannounced and uninvited.
Ukrainians don’t strive for war either. But we are alert and prepared.
My father died in Luhansk oblast in 2015, and his blood is not only on the hands of his literal killers but also – on the hands of those who chose ignorance and irresponsibility for their own country’s deeds.

I can’t blame the people for their ignorant views since they live in a place where those views are propagated more than any other, it still saddens me that the Ukrainians are still going through all of this, they are the true heroes, fighting even though they know they’re going to lose and dying for the country they love.
