I think people underestimate the effectiveness of propaganda and it's true purpose. There seems to be an assumption that if people don't fully believe what is being told to them, then propaganda has failed. However, the goal of propaganda is not to change how someone thinks, but rather how they act. A person can remain skeptical at their core, but so long as they espouse the correct narrative and demonstrate the preferred action (or inaction), then the message has done it's job.

"If the countries from the west didn't help Ukraine this war would be over".

How about Russia respects Ukraine and there's no war to begin with.

No, there is no hatred and cannot be. Politicians constantly mess things up and it's very sad. Ordinary people have no problems with each other. Peace to all of us. Best regards from Russia.

I still can't believe this is happening in my country. Back in 2018, we all had fun together in the squares of our cities at the World Cup, welcomed foreign guests with joy, supported each other ...
And now my best friend is forced to go to a criminal war, because he thinks that the country is in danger. But I can't argue with him, if only because it won't change anything and will only break our friendship more. What will happen next, I'm afraid to imagine

It's very sad that one man whose life doesn't have many years left is subjecting Russia and the world to such an awful destiny

I find it telling that when the Soviet Union fell, the only country that thought the Cold War was over was....Russia.

In America a bear attacks you.

In Russia you conduct a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize a bear!

At the end of the day we are all just humans trying to live happy lives.

The powerful and wealthy force us into these conflicts but, as citizens of the countries involved, we pay the price.

Russian, Chinese, American, Iranian, North Korean… we all just want happy lives. Not to get forced into these tragic situations. We hate the governments, not the citizens.

How is it that the BBC Russia corresondent, Steve Rosenberg, can travel freely and apparently report uncensored in Russia while the UK close down Russia Today and other Russian media outlets? It would be interesting to see the equivalent exercise in UK by a prominent Russian reporter. It seems that for relations to improve between Russia and the west, the west (mainly US) would prefer a return of another Boris Yeltsin and Russia would like the west to strictly adhere to the UN Charter and International Law.

Politics and propaganda is hell of a scary thing, it makes some ppl so outta touch with reality. And it’s a shame because I’ve met some really gd ppl, but once u try talking sense into them they take any kinda these disagreements as personal attacks.

This isn’t limited to Russia.

At the same time I pity those who didn’t agree with their government view but suffer the reputation non the less

It’s also funny how I find myself not wanting to find out what their views are on the subject when I met a Russian in my uni. In fear that what if they agreed with their government… I’d rather not know

Zelenskiy had a peace agreement 16 months ago but that didn't suit the political elites so Boris Johnson was dispatched immediately to tell Zelenskiy not to go with this peace deal!

"Despite the war in Ukraine the street party is going ahead" 🤣. There were no parties in UK then when British troops were exterminating Iraqis, Afghanis and others?
